With my constant playing of Pokémon, I was one day suddenly amazed with every single pixel that game had to offer. 'Who designed all these?' and 'How? Surely not with paint?!' we're just afew of my questions. I tried to find these out on the internet, which with mostly success. But, some questions never got answered until AFTER I joined deviantART, Which was a fair while after I asked those questions. Pixel art never ceased to amaze me. When I figured out it could all be done in Photoshop, I was very excited, but at the time of joining dA I knew very little about Photoshop, and all I had learnt was from experimenting by myself (My year 9 and 10 VisCom teachers didn't teach very well). So I eventually gave up on becoming a pixel artist.
The next thing I discovered was those iPod ads. To me, they were the coolest thing ever. In my mind, they are still pretty cool. I always thought it was a creative form of minimalism, which I also had an obsession with at the time. Silly me, always over analyzing things. But my attempts to create my own were foiled by, once again, my lack of photoshop knowledge. But I wasn't deterred. I looked up other iPod designs, and figured out what I was missing. The subtle details, like gradients, and mainly important bits, like a white object to go with the black object.
AND THEN I DISCOVERED SOMETHING SO COOL IT WAS TOO AWESOME TO BE DESCRIBED! That's right, the PLASTIC WRAP filter! It made EVERYTHING cool. Oh how sad, my noob-ish mind could not control the fakeness.
Then I began making things for other people. I sure made alot of things for Josh. Hmmm.. nopw nothing to insinuate there.
Then I started making GIFs. Adobe Imageready was easy to use, and I only ever used it for GIF making. Quite sad really. Oh well, I have CS3 now! YAY!
